Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Clerk to join our finance team. This role is responsible for handling various financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.

  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.

  • Assist in issuing payments and ensuring timely settlement of outstanding invoices.

  • Maintain and update accounts payable and receivable records.

  • Follow up with clients for outstanding payments and resolve billing discrepancies.

Bank Reconciliation & Financial Records:

  • Reconcile bank statements with company records on a regular basis.

  • Assist in reconciling credit card transactions and employee reimbursements.

  • Maintain and update accounting databases and financial documents.

  • Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system.

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Assist in preparing financial statements, summaries, and management reports.

  • Support the finance team in month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Assist in internal and external audits by compiling necessary documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and financial best practices.

General Finance Support:

  • Process employee expense claims and verify supporting documentation.

  • Maintain an organized filing system for financial records and invoices.

  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities as required.

  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.

Job requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or finance role (preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates).

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Numerical & Analytical Skills: Strong mathematical skills with an ability to analyze and reconcile financial data.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to process financial data with accuracy and identify inconsistencies.

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders.

  • Time Management: Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.

  • Confidentiality & Ethics: High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in handling accounts payable and receivable.

  • Familiarity with tax regulations, VAT, and general financial compliance.

  • Basic knowledge of financial reporting and bookkeeping principles.

  • Previous experience working in a finance department within a corporate environment.
