We are part of a growing group of companies operating across multiple regions, providing various marketing and financial services to a global clientele and internal companies. Our Malta office plays a central role in supporting the group’s back-office operations and regulatory compliance. We are currently seeking an experienced Back Office & Compliance Officer to join our team and support global operations with precision, professionalism, and integrity.

 

Position Overview

The Back Office & Compliance Officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day operational tasks and ensuring the group’s activities align with applicable compliance standards. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of internal systems and supporting a culture of regulatory awareness across various jurisdictions where the group operates.

 

Key Responsibilities

 Back Office Operations

  • Process client account transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and reconciliations.

  • Maintain and update client records and documentation accurately and securely.

  • Ensure prompt and precise account opening, modifications, and closures.

  • Liaise with internal departments, payment providers, and technology partners to support seamless operations.

  • Generate and analyze operational reports to support group-level decision-making.

 Compliance & Risk Oversight

  • Perform client due diligence checks (KYC), risk assessments, and ongoing monitoring.

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and updating of internal compliance policies and procedures.

  • Monitor transactions and flag any unusual or potentially suspicious activity.

  • Ensure the group’s adherence to international AML and regulatory obligations.

  • Support the preparation of internal audits, external regulatory requests, and compliance reporting.

  • Stay informed on global regulatory trends and ensure timely alignment with best practices.

Job requirements

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a back-office or compliance function within the forex, financial services, or fintech industry.

  • Strong understanding of KYC, AML, and general international compliance standards.

  • Proficient in working with CRM platforms and ideally trading systems.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage cross-border operations.

  • Degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or related discipline.

  • Compliance certifications (e.g., ACAMS, ICA) are considered a strong advantage.
