Head of Operations (Forex Industry)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Operations with a strong background in the forex trading industry. This role is critical in leading the operational strategy, overseeing execution across departments, and ensuring regulatory compliance, platform reliability, and operational scalability.

You will manage end-to-end operations, including trade processing, client onboarding, KYC/AML procedures, risk controls, and back-office systems. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving efficiency, performance, and growth in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute operational strategies that align with business goals in the forex trading sector.

• Oversee all day-to-day operations, including trade execution, client account services, fund transfers, and platform performance.

• Ensure robust compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FCA, CySEC, ASIC), including KYC, AML, and transaction monitoring.

• Collaborate with technology teams to optimise trading infrastructure and back-office systems.

• Lead and mentor cross-functional operations teams, including compliance, client services, and risk.

• Build and maintain vendor relationships (e.g., liquidity providers, payment gateways).

• Continuously assess operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.

• Monitor and report KPIs, identifying opportunities for efficiency and automation.

• Drive process improvement initiatives with a data-driven mindset.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an operations leadership role within the forex or broader online trading industry (mandatory).

• Deep understanding of forex markets, trading platforms (e.g., MT4/MT5, cTrader), and operational workflows.

• Proven experience with regulatory compliance frameworks in the financial services sector.

• Strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities in a high-growth or regulated environment.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.

• Experience with operational tools, CRMs, and ERP systems tailored to financial services.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
