Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior IT Support Specialist to support the daily operation of our IT environment and provide first- and second-level technical assistance to internal users. This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their IT career who has a solid technical foundation, enjoys troubleshooting, and is eager to learn and grow within an IT support or system administration path.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day technical support to internal users by diagnosing and resolving basic hardware, software, and network issues
Assist in monitoring and maintaining IT systems, servers, and network infrastructure under the guidance of senior team members
Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware, software, and peripherals
Help manage user accounts, access rights, and security settings (e.g., Active Directory, Office 365)
Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or external vendors when needed
Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, solutions, and IT procedures
Follow IT policies, security guidelines, and data protection standards
Participate in IT projects, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
Job requirements
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
1+ year of hands-on experience in IT support, service desk, or a similar technical role
Basic knowledge of Windows environments and fundamental networking concepts (LAN/WAN)
Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, VPNs, or ticketing systems is an advantage
Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Clear communication skills and a user-oriented mindset
Ability to manage tasks, follow priorities, and work well in a team environment
