Position Description

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Social Media Specialist to join our dynamic team. Based in Egypt and reporting to the global marketing team, this role will be responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing social media strategies across multiple platforms—primarily for DB Investing, as well as other affiliated brands. The ideal candidate is not only passionate about content creation and platform trends but also understands the business impact of social media, uses data to drive decisions, and knows how to craft meaningful audience interactions.

Note: This role will begin as remote, but will transition to on-site at our New Cairo office. Only candidates based in Egypt and willing to commute or relocate to New Cairo will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with each brand’s voice, audience, and business objectives.

  • Identify platform-specific opportunities and set short- and long-term growth goals for engagement, reach, and conversion.

Content Creation & Coordination

  • Work with designers, video editors, and copywriters to plan and publish original, high-quality content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), YouTube, and TikTok.

  • Research trending formats and adapt viral content styles in a way that is consistent with the brand identity and relevant to the fintech industry.

Community Management

  • Actively manage social media communities: respond to comments and messages, encourage dialogue, and uphold the tone and standards of the brand.

  • Collaborate with customer support and compliance teams on sensitive or escalated matters.

Analytics & Optimization

  • Track and analyze performance metrics (engagement, CTR, growth, etc.) and provide monthly reports with insights and actionable recommendations.

  • Test different content types, posting schedules, and formats to continuously improve performance.

Collaboration & Campaign Execution

  • Support integrated marketing campaigns by developing platform-specific plans that amplify campaign reach and impact.

  • Partner with influencers, affiliates, and industry pages to extend brand visibility through collaborations and mentions.

Market Awareness & Innovation

  • Stay ahead of social media algorithm changes, trends, platform updates, and competitor activity.

  • Propose creative ideas and experiment with emerging content formats to keep the brand presence fresh and engaging.

Job requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing social media accountspreferably in finance, fintech, or similarly regulated industries.

  • Strong command of social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, X) and scheduling/analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar.

  • Ability to identify and adapt platform-specific trends to produce engaging, brand-aligned content. Familiarity with viral formats and audience behavior is essential.

  • Understanding of visual standards for social media; basic proficiency in Canva, Adobe Express, or similar tools is a plus.

  • Excellent English writing skills with attention to tone, clarity, and consistency. Ability to draft captions, community replies, and content briefs efficiently.

  • Since the role involves frequent collaboration with a global team, excellent written and verbal English skills are required.

  • Confident in tracking performance data and drawing insights to inform content direction and platform strategy.

  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple brand accounts in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Work Arrangement

  • Initial Phase: Remote work setup with regular team collaboration

  • Transition Phase: On-site work from our New Cairo office once operational

  • Applicants must be based in Egypt and willing to relocate or commute to New Cairo
