Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer to join our Egypt-based team. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the look, feel, and functionality of our fintech platforms by creating engaging, intuitive user experiences. The ideal candidate combines a strong visual design sense with a deep understanding of user behavior and front-end collaboration.

 

Key Responsibilities

User Experience (UX) Research & Strategy

  • Conduct user research through surveys, interviews, usability testing, and data analysis to understand user behavior, needs, and pain points

  • Develop and refine personas, user stories, and customer journey maps to guide design decisions

  • Define and optimize information architecture to ensure intuitive content structure and navigation

  • Translate business objectives and technical constraints into compelling user-centered solutions

UX Design & Prototyping

  • Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to visualize user flows and product interactions

  • Design intuitive experiences that work across devices (desktop, tablet, and mobile)

  • Validate design concepts through iteration, feedback sessions, and A/B testing

  • Present concepts and rationale to stakeholders in clear, user-centric narratives

User Interface (UI) Design

  • Design visually engaging, brand-consistent interfaces using tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch

  • Ensure the implementation of design systems and reusable UI components for consistency

  • Build scalable visual frameworks that support future development and enhancements

  • Focus on clarity, accessibility, and responsiveness in all visual designs

Collaboration & Handoff

  • Work closely with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of designs

  • Provide clear specifications, assets, and interaction notes to engineering teams

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including standups, sprint reviews, and planning

  • Collaborate with QA to verify UI/UX quality during pre-launch and post-release testing

Testing, Evaluation & Optimization

  • Conduct usability testing and interpret data to uncover usability issues and user friction

  • Use behavioral analytics tools such as Hotjar, Google Analytics, or Microsoft Clarity to evaluate effectiveness

  • Drive ongoing improvement through hypothesis testing and continuous feedback loops

  • Apply user feedback and behavioral insights to enhance product experiences

Innovation & Design Culture

  • Stay informed on the latest trends, tools, and emerging standards in UX/UI and fintech

  • Advocate for design thinking and user-centric development across the company

  • Lead and participate in design sprints, brainstorming sessions, and critique workshops

  • Contribute to a culture of experimentation, learning, and excellence in product design

Job requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in UI/UX Design with a strong design portfolio

  • Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar

  • Experience designing for responsive, cross-platform web and mobile applications

  • Solid understanding of visual hierarchy, color theory, typography, and layout

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices in UX design

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present ideas clearly

  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working in Agile product teams

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, HCI, Web Design, or a related field (preferred)

 

Nice to Have

  • Experience in fintech, financial services, or data-driven product environments

  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML/CSS) or design-to-dev handoff tools

  • Experience working with or contributing to design systems and component libraries

  • Knowledge of prototyping and animation tools (Framer, InVision Studio, Principle, etc.)

  • Exposure to A/B testing methodologies and conversion optimization
